14 Nigerian airports have been fully inspected and approved for flight operations after their closure by the Federal Government to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

The last to be approved were Yakubu Gowon Airport in Jos and Benin Airport in Benin on July 24, 2020, as contained in a list of all airports approved for reopening by the Federal Ministry of Aviation.

The list was obtained by PortNews on the tweeter account of the ministry.

According to the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, ‘’I am glad to announce that the following airports are open for full domestic operations, hence ministerial approvals in and out of them are not required. This includes private and charter operations. We will keep you informed on the reminder airports in due course, please.’’
