27 ships expected to berth at Lagos Port Complex – NPA

A total of 27 vessels are expected to berth at the Lagos Pilotage District of Lagos Port Complex, Apapa in the month of October 2018, said the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

NPA stated this in a shipping position issued today October 2, 2018.

According to NPA, the 27 vessels are laden with base oil, bulk sugar, bulk wheat, bulk gypsum, Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), general cargo and containers.

The shipping position stated that one vessel carries 44801 metric tonnes of base oil, another one vessel carries 47000 tonnes of bulk sugar and 3 vessels are laden with 29000, 44460 and 51300 metric tonnes of bulk wheat respectively.

It further noted that 8 ships together would within this period discharge PMS worth of 312,473 metric tonnes. Also the port would receive 10 vessels laden with containers and only one ship would discharge gypsum worth of 45000 metric tonnes.

The shipping position informed that the 27 ships would discharge cargo at various terminals in the port which include APMT and Greenview. The following companies Allraine, Blueseas, Bluestars, LANSAL, Hullblyth, Maersk Nigeria, PIL, Platinum, Golden Shipping, C.C Nigeria, Rehdors and West Atlantic would act as agents for the vessels.
