Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation (AAAF) and the World Bank have donated 12 sets of computers to L.A. Layeni Primary School, Ajegunle, Lagos State.

Presenting the computer sets to the Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Felicia Augustina Ekunjini on the school premises, the Coordinator of AAAF, Mrs. Foluke Ademokun stated that the computer sets were donated by the World Bank Staff Community Initiative which was implemented by the Foundation, to expose the pupils of the school to computer education in their early stage of life.

She said that Ajegunle and the school were chosen by the Foundation as the beneficiary because of the negative things being said about Ajegunle believing that such a project will impart knowledge to the pupils who in the future will change the bad narrative to good.

Ademokun informed that the Foundation had in 2018 given bags and solar lamps to primary six pupils of the school to boost their esteem and to provide light for them to read.

The Coordinator called on the management of the school to use the computer judiciously for the benefit of the pupils and maintain them properly and thanked the World Bank for the support.

The representative of World Bank, Mrs. Ifeoma Johnson advised the school authority to maintain the system and enjoined parents to give their children a little exposure which, she believed, would be beneficial to them.

Expressing her happiness over the gesture, the Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Felicia Augustina Ekunjuni said she was overwhelmed by the donation and thanked AAAF and World Bank.

She promised the donors that the school management would use the computer sets for the overall benefit of the pupils.     Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation (AAAF) is established by SIFAX Group, a leading Nigerian company in the nation’s shipping industry, to advance humanity and to uplift good living among Nigerians.
