Prince Bola Adesokan has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Surveillance and Intervention to the National President of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) .
According to an appointment letter signed by Dr Emma Oparah, the Secretary General of ANLCA, confirming the appointment, the SSA Surveillance and Intervention got the job in recognition of his selfless services to ANLCA as well as his “uncommon commitment to the ideals of the association”.
The thrust of the assignment is to survey and monitor licensed customs agents as they relate with other stakeholders at the operational field and gathering of information that would aid interventions for smooth operations. “Essentially, Prince Bola will work as the eye of the President, the Chief Intelligence man for us at ANLCA, so that he can use his vast experience to identify anomalies, injustice, cheating or oppression of licensed customs agents in the course of clearing their cargo in the ports or at the borders, and report back to the President for intervention.
“The President did well to give Prince Bola this onerous assignment because he is not only a tested customs agent, he is a very loyal ANLCA member who believes very much in the Shittu transformation project”, a source close to ANLCA secretariat gushed to PortNewsNigeria.
Speaking to PortNewsNigeria past week, the elated Prince Bola Adesokan popularly known as Obama, declared that he would use the opportunities availed by the new appointment to leave a lasting positive landmark in the annals of ANLCA by ensuring that no job is delayed any more nor would any agent agonise unnecessarily in getting his cargo cleared out of Nigerian ports.
“With my team, I will keep an eagle eye on every development pertaining to our members jobs in the ports and elsewhere. I will create a rapport based on mutual respect between our people and customs and other authorities so that everybody will go home satisfied and happy. I thank President Shittu and I promise not to let him down”, stated Prince Bola, one-time Chairman of PTML ANLCA.
