COVID-19: Nigeria yet to release air flight resumption guideline – FAAN

Captain Hamisu Yadudu, Managing Director of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has stated that it would soon release the post COVID-19 travel guidelines for airlines.

FAAN noted that it is working on a guideline and dissociated itself from a media report which stated that that the Federal Government of Nigeria through it had released guideline for airlines.

The organization advised air travelers and the general public to disregard the statement.

‘’The attention of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has been drawn to a statement today, May 16, 2020 to the effect that the Federal Government of Nigeria, through FAAN has released a post- Covid 19 travel guideline for air travelers.

‘’We want to state emphatically that although FAAN is carefully and seriously working on a guideline, the release did not emanate from us as it is still a work in progress.

‘’Consequently, the Authority will like to enjoin air travelers and the general public to disregard the content of the said release.

‘’At the appropriate time, FAAN will release the post COVID-19 travel guidelines via our official communication medium,’’ said Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, General Manager, Corporate Affairs of FAAN.
