Another personality has joined the reserved list of Grand Patron of the Police Community Relations Committee, Western Port, Apapa Command. He is High Chief Athanasius Egwim, the Managing Director of Thasious International Company Nigeria Limited, a customs licensed customs agency.

At the investiture ceremony in the palatial Thasious House, Okota Lagos, Egwim was described by Elder George Udoh, PCRC Chairman, as a consummate customs agent and freight forwarder who parades an unblemished track record in his over forty years of practice in the Nigerian maritime industry. ‘’It is for these reasons and others that the board of our respected Committee thought it wise and right that you be honoured as a Grand Patron of the PCRC. And we believe we can always count on your support all the time,’’ Udoh said.

In his acceptance speech, Chief Egwim, who is the Onwa of Mbaise, thanked the PCRC for the honour and noted that he had always been a reliable partner of the Nigeria Police. ‘’I have always been very supportive of the Police because without them, peace and security will be in danger. I therefore declare my full support for Apapa PCRC, after all it is where we work and make a living. I thank you Mr. Chairman and the entire committee.’’
