Nigeria has limited international flights into the country to the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Minister of health, Osagie Ehanire stated this today at a press conference in Abuja on COVID-19.
The federal government has also shut down the Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano; Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu; and the Port Harcourt International Airport, effective March 21.
The minister, however, noted that the restrictions do not cover domestic flights.
The federal government has also ordered the closure of tertiary institutions and unity schools across the nation as a measure to check the spread of the coronavirus.
