How maritime, politics mixed at NAGAFF

The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), an umbrella body of freight forwarders, is known for fighting for a just society.

The association does not limit the crusade to maritime industry and aviation industry where its members practice their trade but has taken the battle to the political turf of Nigeria where it believes the crusade would have a full-scale impact on the larger society in the interest of common man.

To achieve this and believing the power of politicking, NAGAFF floated and registered a political party – New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) a few years back. The party has done creditably well in the turf winning legislative seats.

The party among other political parties in the country recently escaped deregistration by the electoral umpire – Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) – because it met all constitutional requirements. 74 political parties were deregistered by the electoral body for not meeting constitutional requirements.

Happy with the political fortunes of NNPP and the development, the Founder of NAGAFF and the National Chairman of NNPP, Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam is set to host the management team of the party to a dinner party in Lagos on Thursday February 13, 2020.

According to Oladipupo Olayoku, National Head, Planning & Strategy, NNPP, ‘’the dinner by the National Chairman is to ‘celebrate its emergence as one of the eighteen parties that recently escaped the INEC hammer which swept away a whooping seventy four (74) political parties.’’
