ANLCA elects Tony Iju Nwabunike as new President

Mr. Iju Tony Nwabunike on Thursday emerged as the new President of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA). He got 38 votes to defeat his opponent, Mr. Emenike Nwokoeji who scored 35 votes in a keenly contested election held in Enugu.

Nwabunike is a former Chairman of the the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN).

Others elected were Dr. Kayode Farinto -38 votes, Alhaji Mukaila Abdulazeez – National Secretary -70 votes unopposed, Denis Okwu – Assist National Secretary – 41 votes, Hajia Bola Muse – National Financial Secretary – 43 votes, Dada Livinus Agubuzo – National Treasurer= 39 votes, Joe Sanni – National Publicity Secretary- 41 votes,  Zonal Secretary, West – Alhaji Liasu Oyekangu 39 votes.

In his acceptance speech, Nwabunike promised to fulfill his campaign promises. He said that he will work with his team to meet the expectations of members of the association.
