International Women’s Day: ENL boss assures automatic employment for female engineers

Group Executive Vice Chairman of ENL Consortium, Princess Vicky Haastrup has assured female students and job-seeking female engineers automatic employments into ENL Consortium in commemoration of International Women’s Day celebration. 

Haastrup who is also the Chairman, Seaport Terminal Association of Nigeria (STOAN) gave the assurance in a goodwill message she delivered at an event organizesd by Women in Maritime Africa (WIMAfrica) Nigeria Chapter, to mark 2020 International Women’s Day in Lagos.

The ENL boss commended the efforts of WIMAfrica in empowering women and gild child and advised the younger females to seek for knowledge and experience to enable them compete with their counterparts in their chosen disciplines. 

“Anybody that wants to be successful in life should be focused and determined because I was not brought up with a sliver spoons but see what I become now. 

“I usually follow my mummy to farm during holiday barefooted from age-five after then I studied in England for many years. 

“Before I become the Chairman of ENL Consortium, one of the terminal operators, I had worked in may Oil and Gas and logistics company to gather experience before setting up logistic maritime business. 

“I am appealing to all women and female youths to make determination their watchdog which will lead them to success,” Hasstrup said. 

She, however, urged the Federal Government to give women opportunities to rule the affairs of the country and increase women opportunities in political positions in the country.
