NAFDAC Union Elections: I will bring management closer to staff – Madubuike

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFCDA) Chapter of the Medical & Health Workers Union of Nigeria will have a change of leadership after the May 20th 2019 elections.

While not unappreciative of the progress made under the administration of the present Director General, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, virtually all the aspirants have lofty heights they desire to lift NAFDAC and their staff to.

An aspirant who stands out with his charisma and heart-touching messages is Mr Madubuike Ifeanyi who is vying for the post of the Public Relations Officer (PRO). Imbued with the gift of the garb and a disarming personality, Ifeanyi told PortNews that his major goal is to create a free flowing conduit of communication between the management and staff which he believes is the bedrock on which all other goals will easily be consummated.

“Once we have a steady channel of communication, I can easily pursue and achieve my heart desire which is to ensure that all remunerations, all our entitlements and claims as NAFDAC staff are paid as and at when due. We safeguard the health of 200 million Nigerians and we therefore deserve to be treated with respect, with love and affection” explained the aspirant.

Asked why he believed he could beat the incumbent PRO in the election, Ifeanyi boasted that he, as Head of Administration in his department, the laboratory, handles the administrative affairs of about 98 staff members everyday without a fuss and this, be believes has prepared him to cope with managing the entire staff of NAFDAC.

“I believe I can handle the entire NAFDAC gamut as the union PRO. I am sure I will defeat the incumbent PRO. I have the support of my director in the laboratory department because I work directly under him and I have learned a lot,” he noted.

Madubuike Ifeanyi commended the Director General Professor Adeyeye for bringing back the Dora Akunyili days with her motherly instincts. “She tries to ensure that all laboratory equipment are functional and has concrete plans to acquire more. I salute her and I promise to work with our colleagues to ensure that her tenure is very successful” he submitted.
