The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has congratulated Dr. Bashir Jamoh on his appointment as the Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam, Founder, NAGAFF, congratulated Dr. Jamoh on behalf of the association in a press statement he issued in Lagos. He described Jamoh as a tested hand.
Aniebonam noted that his predecessor, Dakuku Peterside did not regard freight forwarders as a key component in shipping development. He however charged Jamoh to carry NAGAFF and other members of freight forwarding industry along in his shipping development projects.
He called on the new NIMASA boss to work with the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), believing that such a working relationship between the two bodies will engender cross-fertilization of ideas.
‘’Freight forwarding professionals are the most critical element involved in the actualization and realisation of shipping business as a derived demand. We in NAGAFF are looking forward to a responsible partnership between CRFFN and NIMASA in this new dispensation of change of leadership.
”We do congratulate Dr Bashir Jamoh as he takes responsibility and together we shall make Nigeria and maritime business great once again in Nigeria,’’ Aniebonam said.
