NCAA directs airlines to fumigate aircraft to curb COVID-19

Airline operators, both local and international, have been directed by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to disinfect their aircraft on each flight

This development was part of the measures taken by NCAA to curb the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) into the country.

The directive was given by the NCAA Director General, Captain Musa Nuhu in a letter with Ref:      NCAA/DG/AIR/11/16/108 date March 23, 2020 addressed to both local and international airlines operating in the country.

According to the directives, airlines must also ensure that all their personnel without exception entering any airport terminal must undergo temperature checks and hand cleaning with sanitizer. The airlines must see that all passengers without exception must undergo temperature checks and hand cleaning with sanitizer at all terminals terminals (all domestic and international terminals) before being allowed to board aircraft.
