THIS IS A GOOD MOVE BY THE COMMITTEE AND I APPRECIATE THE CHAIRMAN & DEPUTY CHAIRMAN HON OJUGBELE FOR THEIR VISIT AND WANT THEM TO LOOK INTO THE HARDSHIP PRESENTLY EMBODIED BY ALL FREIGHTER ON SHIPPING & TERMINAL CHARGE INCLUSIVE OF THE CONTAINER DEPOSIT BEING PAID ON ALL CONTAINERS BECAUSE THE COST OF LOADING A CLEARED CONTAINER ALREADY EXITED BY THE NIGERIA CUSTOM SERVICE HAS INCREASED BY 160% BECAUSE BOTH THE TERMINAL OPERATORS AND SHIPPING LINE HAVE NOT CUR CUR TO THE DIRECTIVE OF THE SHIPPER COUNCIL OF HANDLING BALE AND CARRYING OF EMPTIES AT EVERY INTERVAL THEIR VESSELS COMES IN TO DISCHARGE LOADED BOXES AT VARIOUS TERMINAL ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
