The runway of Port Harcourt International Airport has been cleared and reopened for normal flight operations.

Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, General Manager, Corporate Affairs of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) told PortNews.

The runway closed  following a skidding incident on Saturday June 22  involving an Air Peace flight with registration number 5N BRN, flying from Abuja to Port Harcourt.

FAAN noted that the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to that effect in line with standards and recommended practice.
