PTML Customs collects N143bn revenue

Nigeria Customs Service, PTML Areas Command, Lagos has stated that it collected N143.6 billion into the Federal Government coffers between January and November 2019.

This amount, according to a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Muhammed Yakubu, surpassed the year revenue target of N123 billion.

The revenue collected also showed an increase of N34 billion over the N109 billion collected within the same period of 2018. This represents an increase of 31 percent.

The command attributed the increase in revenue to rising cargo throughput at the port.
