APM Terminals says that in the Month of Ramadan it would continue normal vessel operations at its berth with a skeleton crew between hours of 18:00 – 20:00 hours daily for the Iftar break and between 03:00 – 03:30 hours, for Suhoor.
APM Terminals Bahrain noted that gate timings would be from 04:00 – 18:00 hours and thereafter from 20:00 – 22:00 hours; between 20:00 – 22:00 hours gate will deliver empties and receive full/empty containers and delivery of full containers shall not be permitted.
APM Terminals stated this in a Customer Advisory on service delivery during the Ramadan made available to PortNews, adding that its appointment office would operate between 08:00 – 14:30 hours, CFS shed to function between 06:00 – 17:00; however, Customs is expected to be in attendance between 08:00 – 14:00 hours only while LCL shed would operate between 08:00 – 14:00 hours.
During the Holy Month, APM Terminals noted that the Aluminum shed would operate 24 hours as usual while marine activities would be suspended from 17:00 (Berthing) & 17:30 (Un-berthing) till 19:30 hours for the Iftar break.
It maintained that stoppage would not impact any vessel’s calling Bahrain Steel and Alba (North jetty) during high tide.
It however enjoined all its customers to plan in line with its service coverage during the period to avoid any delays and wished them a peaceful and blessed Ramadan.
