APM Terminals, operator of Apapa Container Terminal, Lagos Port Complex, Apapa said cargo movement in and out of its terminal was seamless, acording to its Monday October 16 cargo traffic report.
According to APM Terminals, “The last 24hrs was okay as we had good movement of trucks for most part of the day. This was not a surprise as we have observed, traffic is lighter on Sundays and Mondays and only start to build-up on Tuesdays through to Saturdays.”
The terminal operator said it could only serviced only 482 trucks were serviced with a total of about 1400 transactions.
“However, only 482 trucks were serviced with a total of about 1400 transactions. 57% of that number took delivery of import containers while the rest returned empties and exports,” said APMT.
According to it, “The situation today, Monday October 16, was equally decent as we only started experiencing traffic at our exit-gate around 1420hrs.
“Also, we have traffic diversion within Lagos Port Complex due to the ongoing road construction works within the port complex (close to Customs exit gate).”
APMT said it serviced a total of 3487 trucks last week.
