World Customs Organisation honours TALOD Ocean Airfreight with Certificate of Merit

The World Customs Organisation (WCO) has honoured one of the leading freight forwarding companies in Nigeria, TALOD Ocean Airfreight Limited with a Certificate of Merit for rendering exceptional services to the international customs communities

The WCO Certificate of Merit is an international recognition for private organizations endorsed by the national customs having obtained a clean bill of professional practices by the FIATA for outstanding trade compliance, qualitative logistics services and participation in the global trade initiative programs.

The award was presented to TALOD Ocean Airfreight Limited by the Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service, Col. Hameed Ali, in the name of the Director-General of WCO, Dr. Kunio Mikuriya, at the 2021 International Customs Day Celebration in Abuja last week.

While receiving the award, elated Aare Hakeem Olanrewaju, Managing Director of TALOD Ocean Airfreight Limited thanked the WCO and the Nigeria Customs Service for considering his company worthy of this merit award and commended his company’s management team for their dedication to duty, which earned the organization the honour.

Olarenwaju who was the second chairman, Governing Council of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) dedicated the award to young freight forwarders who are aspiring for professionalism and International best practices in all strata of the maritime industry. He encouraged them not to relent.

However, the Congregation of Registered Freight Forwarding Practitioners Of Nigeria (CRFFNPON) has described the WCO Certificate of Merit given to Aare Hakeem Olarenwaju and his company TALOD as a well-deserved one while considering his outstanding contribution to the development of freight business in Nigeria and beyond.  

“To all of us in CREFFPON, we congratulate you and feel motivated to aspire for professional excellence. Understandably, with past awards from the FIATA & TIACA, you are obviously a worthy leader in the freight forwarding Profession,” CREFFPON said.
