FAAN warns non-travelling people to stay away from airports

Captain Rabiu Yadudu, Managing Director of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN)

As Nigerian airports are set to resume flight operations, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has warned non-travelling people to stay away from airport terminal buildings while travellers must arrive 3 hours before the scheduled times for takeoff.

These are parts of the Post-COVID-19 Flight Resumption measures for airlines and passengers designed by FAAN.

According to FAAN on its tweet account, ‘’Non-travelling passengers will not be allowed into the airport terminal buildings. You (travellers) are advised to arrive at the airports three hours before your flight due to the COVID-19 Safety Checks.’’

FAAN advised travellers to maintain 6ft (2metre) distance from other travellers at all times. They must ensure to wash hands and use hand sanitizer at regular intervals. Passengers were further advised to wear a facemask to be able to gain access to the airport terminal buildings
