Crown Maritime Academy offers degree courses, holds convocation

Crown Maritime Academy (CMA) has commenced courses of study leading to the award of overseas universities Bachelor’s Degrees as the Academy holds convocation on 26th August, 2017 in Lagos.
The programme is under the higher institution’s Degree Foundation Institute, DFI. Affiliated to the International Degree Foundation (DFI) in Nigeria, the Director of Academics of the Degree Foundation Institute, DFI is Dr. Martins Okechukwu, the first Rector of the Academy.
Programmes offered by the Institute domiciled in Ogba, Lagos include Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Law, Architecture, Nursing, Medicine, Aeronautical Engineering, and all other major and popular disciplines in Arts, Humanities, Social and Management Sciences.
Mr Musa Akinyemi, Rector of the Academy notes: “Quite advantageous, credible and affordable, candidates for the programme shall spend one or two academic year(s) of studies in Nigeria and transfer overseas to any of our accredited partner universities to complete and receive their first degrees.”
Meanwhile, the Academy’s first set of National Innovation Diploma (NID) graduates shall be holding their Convocation on 26th August, 2017 with LAMB Academy in Lagos.
On 24th March, 2017, the Merchant Navy cadets of the Academy had some four (4) hours of on-board training sessions on one of the largest ships in port at Tin-Can Island, Lagos. Crown Maritime Academy, CMA is strongly committed to reviving and restoring Nigeria to her earlier status as a notable maritime nation through human capacity building to achieve her maritime macro-economic fortunes in the twenty-first century.
