Customs promotes 1,924 junior cadre officers

Nigeria Customs Service has announced the promotion of 1,924 personnel of its Junior Cadre backdated to 1st January, 2018.

According to a statement issued today by the Public Relations Officer of the Service, Deputy Comptroller Joseph Attah, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd) has congratulated the affected personnel and charged them to see their promotion as a call to greater service to fatherland.

Ali said at this time when the nation expects more from non-oil revenue sources and improved security situation, operatives must totally commit to the course of nation building.

The breakdown of the promotion is as follows:
i. Assistant Inspector of Customs (AIC) – Inspector of Customs (IC), General Duty – 51
ii. Assistant Inspector of Customs (AIC) – Inspector of Customs (IC), Support Staff – 48
iii. Customs Assistant Grade II (CAII) – Customs Assistant Grade I (CAI), Support Staff – 200
iv. Customs Assistant Grade III (CAIII) – Customs Assistant Grade II (CAII), Support Staff – 39
v. Customs Assistant Grade I (CAI) – Assistant Inspector of Customs (AIC), Support Staff – 169
vi. Customs Assistant Grade I (CAI) – Assistant Inspector of Customs (AIC), General Duty – 1200
vii. Customs Assistant Grade II (CAII) – Customs Assistant Grade I (CAI), General Duty – 179
viii. Customs Assistant Grade III (CAIII) – Customs Assistant Grade II (CAII), General Duty – 38
