Liebherr, the world-renowned equipment manufacturer, is making appreciable inroads into the Nigerian maritime industry with a recent delivery of three 45 tonnes capacity container Reachstackers to the Dangote Refineries in Lekki, Lagos.
Leading shipping companies and seaport terminal operators in the Nigerian maritime industry have lately been endeared to the technical superiority of Liebherr cargo handlers with a recent flurry of orders placed for these machines.
It is also worth noting that the Reachstacker model LRS 645 has been working efficiently at Intels, Onne, Port Harcourt in recent times. For example, a few months ago, one of Nigeria’s leading seaport terminal operators, PTML Terminals in Tin Can Island Port Lagos took delivery of one machine with more machines to come in the future.
While Five Star Logistics took delivery of two 45 tonnes Liebherr Reachstacker LRS 545 series in addition to one Liebherr mobile harbor crane LHM 600 (the tallest in West Africa), they were indeed a landmark delivery in terms of operational boosting, money-saving and efficiency.
