The Maritime Reporters’ Association of Nigeria (MARAN) has organised a training in digital journalism for its members to improve their capacity.
The event, facilitated by Mr. Oladotun Tela, a broadcaster and digital expert, took place at the International Maritime Press Centre/MARAN Secretariat, Apapa, Lagos on Tuesday November 29, 2022.
Speaking earlier, Mr. Gboyega Oni, Chairman of MARAN, said the essence of the training was to keep members of the association abreast with new technologies in digital journalism, saying the new technologies would help them to report maritime industry effectively and digitally.
Oni assured that training of MARAN members in the field of journalism would be a continuous exercise. He thanked corporate organisations in the port who supported the training.
