The new Controller of Western Command, Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Salefu has tasked officers and men of the Command to buckle up so as to improve the tempo of anti-smuggling operation and to build upon the achievements of past administration.
Salefu emphasized character and professionalism as sinequanon productivity and further urged officers and men of the Command to make discipline and compliance their watch word.
The Controller stated this while taking over the leadership of the command from the immediate past Controller, Comptroller SD Adamu, at the Command’s office in Apapa, Lagos.
Comptroller Salefu thanked the Comptroller General and his management team for the faith reposed in him and promised to execute his responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
Speaking earlier, Comptroller SD Adamu called on Officers and men of the Command to join hands with the new Controller to ensure the Command continue to fulfill its mandate in an efficient and professional way.
He also urged officers to see change in leadership as a constant phenomenon in their professional career and in life in general.
Before his present appointment as the Controller of Western Marine Command, Comptroller Salefu was in charge of the Department of Strategy, Research and Policy (SR&P), Nigeria Customs Service headquarters in Abuja. Until his promotion to the rank of Comptroller, Salefu was Deputy Comptroller, Compliance, Port Harcourt Area 2 Onne.
