Nigeria Customs promotes 2,508 officers

The Nigeria Customs Service Board has approved the appointment of one Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs, three Assistant Comptroller-Generals of Customs and promotion of 2,508 officers to various ranks. 

The newly appointed members of management are DCG David Chikan, ACG Kashim Ajiya, ACG Dinatu Umaru and ACG Yusuf Bashar. Among Deputy Comptrollers promoted to the rank of Comptroller are AD Sanusi, US Buhari, A. I. Alfa among others. 

The promotion which has 1st  January 2018 as effective date is broken down as follows: thirty Deputy Comptrollers were promoted to Comptrollers of Customs, 115 Assistant Deputy Comptrollers promoted to Deputy Comptroller. 145 Chief Superintendents of Customs promoted to Assistant Comptroller, 43 Superintendents of Customs promoted to Chief Superintendent of Customs and 117 Deputy Superintendents of Customs promoted to Superintendent of Customs.

Others officers promoted are: 565 Assistant Superintendents of Customs 1 promoted to Deputy Superintendent of Customs, 988 Assistant Superintendents of Customs 11 promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Customs 1 and 505 Inspector of Customs to Assistant Superintendent of Customs II.

Congratulating the members of management and officers, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd) charged them to see their elevations as a call to greater responsibilities. He urged them to double their efforts to consolidate on the gains of the on-going Service reforms.
