PTML generates N17.5 billion

The Nigeria Customs Service, PTML Port Command, Lagos, says it generated a sum of N17, 513,236,904.07 in the month of June 2020.

This was contained in a revenue chart released by the command. The chart was jointly signed by the Customs Area Controller of the command, Comptroller F.O Okun, and T. Odiba, Accountant for the command.      

The command had generated N56, 645, 049,609 from January to April 2020. And in May, it generated was N13,661,428,914.48. Adding all these figures together, the command has generated total revenue of N87,819,769,427.55 into the coffers of the government.

The breakdown of the June revenue chart is as follows: import duty – 11, 244,351,301.00; excise duty – 10,486,857.00; FEES – 73,899,334.00; CET Levy – 150,983,377.00; Federation Account – 11,479,720,873.00; 7% surcharge – 786,778,635.00 and 7.5 VAT- 4,162,983,922.00.

Others are: NAC-364,740,920.00; 1% CISS – 344,442,907.00; 0.5% ETLS – 294,278,167.00; NESS – 80,287,348.07, iron levy – 4,134.00 and Non federation account – 1,870,532,111.07. Grand total is N17,513,236,904.07.
