Who are the Council Members of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN)?
PortNews checks on the website of the Council this afternoon show that the CRFFN does not have Governing Council members. The portal on About Us on its official website did not feature any names despite some people were elected and appointed by the Federal Government last year into the Council in 2018.
Even the name of the Registrar/CEO, the image of the Council, is conspicuously missing on the website.
Apart from this, the website does not have useful information that can help members or prospective members on the activities of the Council. How much members would pay as annual subscription fee is not indicated while that of the contentious professional operating fee is empty.
A year after the elections into the Council Governing Board, names/profiles of the elected members and that of the registrar who took over after Mike Jukwe ought to have been placed on the site.
All these show a crass incompetency and official negligence on the part of the website managers. It also infers that the Governing Board members and even the Registrar/CEO have nothing to offer for the growth of the profession despite their names missing and never bulge.
What one can decipher from this scenario is that the Chairman of CRFFN, Alhaji Tsanni Abubakar, the Vice Chairman, Sir Henry Njoku, Dr. Kayode Farinto, Increase Uche and others are interlopers since the official website of the organization they are governing over has failed to recognise them.
A good website is a marketing weapon, and it sells its owner well. Appearance of images and profiles of the MD and Board members convinces visitors or investors that the company is a reliable one and it will profitable doing business with; but not so with the CRFFN’s.
