The Women in Aviation International (WAI) has called on the Federal Government to confirm the Acting Director General Civil Aviation Nigeria, Captain Chris Najomo.
The leader of WAI, Ms. Susan Okewu, made the call during a recent visit to the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
Okewi noted that the Ag. DGCA has demonstrated capacity and recorded significant milestones since assumption of office, adding that this is a pointer to the fact that he would do much more in the future.
The group also condoled with the Acting DGCA on the passing of his mother, Chief (Mrs) Bridget Najomo.
Speaking earlier, Captain Najomo commended the WAI for the vision it has brought to the aviation industry through mentorship of younger women in all aspects of aviation and aerospace
Najomo used the opportunity to pledge his support to women in the aviation sector.
The Federal Government appointed Captain Chris Najomo as Ag. DGCA in December, 2023.
